The Kotak Zen Signature Credit Card is built around a tiered reward points system that favours retail shopping. Cardholders earn 10 Zen Points for every ₹150 spent on apparel, lifestyle goods, departmental stores, and jewellery. All other eligible spending earns 5 Zen Points per ₹150. The total points earned per billing cycle are capped at 6,500, which translates to roughly ₹65,000 in shopping spend or ₹97,500 in other categories to hit the ceiling each month.A spend-based milestone program sweetens annual returns. Cardholders crossing ₹3 lakh in annual eligible spend receive 7,500 bonus Zen Points. Reaching ₹6 lakh triggers an additional 7,500 points, bringing the total milestone bonus to 15,000 points per year. The welcome gift of 1,500 Zen Points is available only to those who pay the ₹1,500 joining fee, so cards issued at zero joining fee do not qualify for this benefit.Travel perks include 3 complimentary international lounge visits per calendar year through Priority Pass, covering 1,300+ lounges outside India. Domestic lounge access requires meeting a quarterly spend threshold of ₹75,000 to unlock 2 visits in the following quarter (effective June 2025). A 1% fuel surcharge waiver applies on transactions between ₹500 and ₹5,000, capped at ₹3,500 per anniversary year. Railway surcharge savings of 1.8% on IRCTC bookings and 2.5% at counter bookings max out at ₹500 yearly. From June 2025, Kotak introduced category-based earning caps: ₹70,000 per cycle on education and insurance, ₹50,000 on utilities, and ₹40,000 on government transactions. Wallet loads, fuel, rent, and online skill-based gaming no longer earn any Zen Points, and spending in these categories does not count toward milestone calculations. The annual fee of ₹1,500 can be waived by reaching ₹1,50,000 in yearly retail spend, making the effective cost zero for moderately active cardholders.
